Brock Lesnar makes rare appearance outside WWE

WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar has been absent from television for over a year. A new photo of The Beast Incarnate recently surfaced online, showcasing a rare public appearance outside the Sports Entertainment Juggernaut.

The 47-year-old's last match was at SummerSlam 2023, where he went one-on-one with Cody Rhodes. The high-stakes match saw The American Nightmare emerge victorious over the former Universal Champion.

Since then, there have been reports of a potential WWE return for Brock Lesnar, particularly for a WrestleMania 40 match against Gunther. However, those plans were canceled after The Beast was seemingly alluded to in the lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon by Janel Grant.

Amid all this, The Beast Incarnate was spotted attending a Ward Davis concert in Tsuut'ina, Canada, as seen in a photo shared by Sportskeeda Wrestling's Dr. Chris Featherstone on X.

Former writer says WWE feels 27-year-old star is their next Brock Lesnar

Many names of potential superstars have been thrown into the hat as the "Next Big Thing," similar to the 47-year-old legend during his debut. However, the former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. weighed in on who the company believes can fill the shoes of The Beast Incarnate.

On his Wrestling with Freddie podcast, Freddie Prinze Jr. said that Bron Breakker has the potential to become a major star in WWE, similar to Brock Lesnar, but needs further development, especially on the mic, before moving to Netflix in January 2025.

"I want him [Bron Breakker] to be ready for Netflix because I know WWE feels like he's gonna be their next sort of Brock Lesnar, big-time star. I don't know if he'll be ready to be the lead of that show by January. But I think if you give him another year, you'll see leaps and bounds as far as improvement on the mic," he said.

Fans will have to wait and see whether The Beast will make his return to the Stamford-based promotion.
