Bron Breakker confronting 32-year-old WWE star has 'money' written all over it, feels veteran: "A f**King huge deal"
Bron Breakker has been portrayed as one of the most dominant stars on the entire WWE roster lately. The 27-year-old clinched his second Intercontinental Championship win on WWE RAW last week. While Breakker pinned Jey Uso, things could have been different if The Bloodline wasn't involved.
While Breakker picked up a massive victory, WWE teased an incredibly attractive storyline during the match. Jacob Fatu and Bron Breakker came face to face, which excited the entire WWE Universe. A potential match between both men would clearly be a major attraction, which fans have now started to anticipate.
Addressing the face-off, Jim Cornette, in a recent edition of Jim Cornette's Drive-Thru, stated that a match between Breakker and Fatu would be a huge deal. Considering the reaction both men received from fans during their confrontation, a rivalry between them could be one of the marquee programs WWE could build for a stage like WrestleMania.
"They’ve got so many matches that they don’t even need to have yet, but people will go ape sh*t over them. It’s insane. But yeah, can you imagine Bron Breakker?...He’s already too good not to like—the fans are already barking for him and giving him his sh*t, but he’s still a badass, and that’s what’s going to make him an even bigger babyface eventually. Against Jacob Fatu, with the proper build, they could get a fu**ing huge deal out of that," said Jim Cornette. [4:26 onwards]
What's next for Bron Breakker as the Intercontinental Champion?
Jey Uso has clearly moved out of the Intercontinental title picture. With Bron Breakker now the champion, some new names are expected to confront him and build up a massive match in the next few weeks.
Among the number of deserving contenders present on the red brand, the likes of Braun Strowman, Sheamus, and Damian Priest could be among the top names to challenge Breakker.
Apart from that, a returning Drew McIntyre could also get in line to take down the 27-year-old a claim a title victory. With a plethora of options available, time will tell which road will WWE explore for the Intercontinental Champion.
