Bron Breakker enroute to becoming dual WWE champion; picks up major win following RAW
WWE Superstar Bron Breakker is among the very few NXT call-ups that have brought their dominant performances to the main roster. After winning back the Intercontinental Title on Monday Night RAW, the second-generation professional wrestler is set to become a double champion.
In the main event of the October 21 edition of the red brand's show, Breakker challenged Jey Uso for the Intercontinental Championship. The two performers traded blows in a highly entertaining match before the new Bloodline members showed up. Although Solo Sikoa claimed he was there to help Jey Uso, Jacob Fatu attacked the latter, and Samoan Dropped him on the announcer's desk.
Bron Breakker took advantage of the situation and hit Uso with a Super Spear to become a two-time Intercontinental Champion. However, the 26-year-old doesn't seem content with one title around his waist. Breakker defeated LWO's Cruz Del Toro in a WWE Speed tournament match, which premiered exclusively on X/Twitter earlier today. He will now face former World Champion Sheamus in the next round.
The winner of the tournament will face the current Speed Champion, Andrade. You can match the WWE Speed Championship tournament match below:
WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker is impressed with Bron Breakker's work
The Undertaker is one of the most famous characters in WWE history. Since retiring from full-time in-ring appearances, The Phenom has openly shared his thoughts regarding several topics associated with professional wrestling.
While speaking on his Six Feet Under with Mark Calaway podcast, the veteran performer shared his honest opinion about Bron Breakker. The Undertaker praised the former NXT Champion. He added that although Breakker has barely scratched the surface, he's already cutting better promos than Rick and Scott Steiner. The WWE Hall of Famer predicted that Bron would make it big.
"He is a young man. He ain't even scratched the surface of what he's going to do. He is athletic. He cuts better promos than his uncle and his dad already. He's going to be special. He is special. Like I said, he's only scratched the surface of what he's going to do. He's going to be a player for a long time," The Deadman said. [From 29:28 to 29:52]
