Bron Breakker won't be hurt because of his Intercontinental Championship loss to Jey Uso, says WWE legend
Bron Breakker recently dropped the WWE Intercontinental Championship to Jey Uso. Despite his title reign ending after 51 days, professional wrestling legend Lex Luger believes the former champion's momentum won't take a hit.
At the SummerSlam Premium Live Event, Breakker won the Intercontinental Championship by defeating Sami Zayn. He successfully defended the title against Zayn in a 2 out of 3 Falls Match on Monday Night RAW but is now without his championship after being beaten by Jey Uso.
Speaking on his Lex Expressed podcast, Lex Luger spoke highly of Jey Uso and made a bold claim regarding Breakker's momentum.
"Yeah, that he won't miss a beat," said Lex. "I thought it was great for Jey Uso because, I mean, obviously Uso, because I mean, that thing he does, the 'YEET,' he is so over. He's having such a great run, I am so happy for him to accomplish that. Also, even though he's relatively new in the business, that's not going to hurt Bron at all," said Luger. [H/T: Fightful]
Lex Luger praised Bron Breakker
During the same conversation, Lex Luger claimed Bron Breakker is a star in the making. Luger has big expectations for the 26-year-old superstar.
He added that having Jey win the Intercontinental Championship was a good creative move on WWE's part:
"He's so talented. He's going to be a staple in the WWE for the next, who knows, 15-20, years, he's going to be a huge star, a multi-time world champion. I see nothing but the sky's the limit for Bron. So I think that was one of those situations where it was a win-win. I think Bron's going to go on to even bigger, better things, obviously, for a long time, and it was great to see Jey get the title there. I thought that was a good move. I don't think it's gonna hurt Bron at all," added Luger.
It remains to be seen whether WWE continues the feud between Bron Breakker and Jey Uso.
