Bron Breakker could be involved in a lackluster match with no story, according to former WWE writer (Exclusive)
WWE star Bron Breakker is on a quest to win the Intercontinental Championship. He attacked Sami Zayn on RAW this week. Vince Russo recently speculated about Breakker's next big match.
During this week's episode of RAW, Breakker laid waste to Zayn and had to be dragged away by WWE officials. Ilja Dragunov then demanded RAW general manager Adam Pearce book him in a match against the second-generation star. The bout ultimately ended via DQ after Breakker threw a chair at his opponent.
Sami Zayn tried to make the save, but the three-time champion threw him and Dragunov over the announce desk.
On Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Vince Russo said WWE was no longer building up feuds. He felt that the creative team pitted stars against each other in matches without a proper angle. Russo predicted that Sami Zayn, Bron Breakker, and Ilja Dargunov could compete in a Triple Threat match for the Intercontinental Championship without a compelling story.
"When I say there's no builds, here's no builds due to no stories. There's just no stories. They just keep having these matches. That's why it just doesn't feel like anything's important. What are they gonna do? They're gonna have a three-way with Sami, Bron Breakker and Dragunov? What's there story there?" [From 5:02 onwards]
Despite the defeat at Money in the Bank, Bron Breakker still has unfinished business with the Intercontinental Champion. It will be interesting to see whether he will get another shot at the title in the coming weeks.
