Bron Breakker wants to defend his title against top WWE SmackDown star
Bron Breakker is steaming ahead as one of the brightest stars on WWE RAW. The Big Bad Booty Nephew wants to defend his Intercontinental Championship against a top SmackDown Superstar.
Baron Corbin moved to NXT in 2023 for a successful run. He failed to win the NXT Championship from Carmelo Hayes but gained momentum after defeating Bron Breakker in a singles match.
Breakker and Corbin eventually joined forces to compete in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament. The Wolf Dogs won the tournament and went on to become the NXT Tag Team Champions soon after.
While speaking at the Fanatics Live signing, Bron Breakker spoke about his willingness to work with the 39-year-old star again. The Big Bad Booty Nephew was hopeful of reviving their tag team.
"We had a good time. I hope we circle back around to it eventually, maybe one day. That’s always something we can do that’s gonna work for sure. So, we’ll see. I hope so," Bron Breakker said. [H/T POST Wrestling]
The reigning Intercontinental Champion noted that he would love to defend his title against Baron Corbin soon. It would be the perfect story for the two men to work again.
"I think that makes for a great story, right? I think I would enjoy that, I think he would enjoy that. I think it would elevate both of us so, I don’t know," Bron Breakker said. [H/T POST Wrestling]
Bron is currently not booked for a title defense at the 2024 Bash in Berlin Premium Live Event. He would be hoping to defend his title against a top name at the upcoming Bad Blood PLE.
LA Knight talked about a potential match with Bron Breakker in WWE
LA Knight is the current United States Champion and is performing on the SmackDown brand. With the Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 Premium Live Event coming up, many fans will be hoping to see some "Champion vs. Champion" matches again.
While that may not happen anytime soon, Knight thinks that he is better than Bron Breakker in any case. He noted that he could outthink The Big Bad Booty Nephew and would have the advantage if the two went toe-to-toe.
"Champion vs. Champion? I'll tell you what. Bron Breakker is crazy explosive, crazy powerful. You see that dude move around, it's wild. At the same time, look man, this is a thinking man's game. When you really get into it, the cerebral game is just as important as the physical game. And look, I ain't no slouch. I can move around that ring," LA Knight said.
A match between the two superstars would surely be explosive. They have both become big names in the Stamford-based company in a short period. WWE fans will have to wait a bit longer to see them go head-to-head in the ring.
