Bronson Reed addresses inevitable showdown with 41-year-old former World Champion (not Braun Strowman)

Bronson Reed now has the attention of the WWE Universe. The Australian star is currently in the middle of a rivalry straight out of the golden age of professional wrestling.

Despite newer fans seemingly enjoying a more fast-paced style and athletic wrestlers who are smaller and more relatable, Reed and Braun Strowman have given such stars a run for their money with some stellar work of late. Meanwhile, the Australian opened up about former World Heavyweight Champion, Damian Priest, who has found success at the top in 2024.

Damian Priest spent a lot of time in his life scratching and clawing before he finally made it to WWE. It took him more time to get to the position he is in today. Speaking on The Amin Show, Bronson Reed reflected on their days in NXT:

"He's [Damian Priest] one of the guys, I came up with him in NXT. I respect him a lot. We got to wrestle there, and I was very proud getting to see him become World Heavyweight Champion because it sort of validated our era of NXT having someone from our era become the champion."

Reed then noted that Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins came before him, Damian Priest and Gunther, so his time will also come soon. And when it does, he assured that he and The Archer of Infamy will lock horns:

"The Seths and the Romans, they were before us. So now that [Priest] has done that, you've obviously had GUNTHER do the same thing, he's sort of our era, and I want to be that as well. I'm sure eventually you're going to see Priest versus Bronson in WWE and when you do, I'm sure it's going to be magic." [H/T: Wrestling Inc.]

Damian Priest has a big fight ahead of him, as WWE Bad Blood is scheduled to air live on Saturday, October 5. He will look to get some measure of revenge on the man who cost him the World Heavyweight Championship, Finn Bálor.

Bronson Reed vs. Seth Rollins is a high-profile match waiting to happen

Back in early August, Bronson Reed unexpectedly interrupted Seth Rollins in the middle of the ring, attacking The Visionary. Rollins has been off television ever since. When asked for a reason, The Colossal One claimed that he had to crush one of "WWE's golden boys" in order to make a statement.

Interestingly, Bronson Reed also confirmed recently that he and Seth Rollins were originally set to square off at Elimination Chamber: Perth, in February. Plans went out the window when the former World Heavyweight Champion got injured.
