Bronson Reed is an exception to a long-standing WWE trend, according to former company employee (Exclusive)
Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently discussed Bronson Reed's efforts to break out as a major attraction. The star has been booked strongly over the last few months on RAW.
Reed made a name for himself on the RAW after SummerSlam where he attacked Seth Rollins. He decimated The Visionary with six brutal Tsunamis, becoming an instant viral sensation. Since then, the star has become a dominant force on the RAW roster.
This week on Writing with Russo, the wrestling veteran detailed that WWE has stopped making huge stars. He pointed out that the company hasn't built a new breakout star in a long time. Russo felt that the creative was trying to build up Bronson Reed but he still wasn't there yet.
"I just don't think they want to make anybody anymore. I just feel that way. I don't see them trying to make... I guess you could say they're trying to make Bronson Reed, you might argue that." He continued, "I just haven't seen that long-term, getting somebody over. I just haven't seen it in forever." [From 10:38 onwards]
Reed has now joined hands with Solo Sikoa and The Bloodline 2.0. He will be entering Survivor Series: WarGames alongside the faction.
This could be a huge opportunity for the 36-year-old star as he will rub shoulders against former world champions such as Roman Reigns and CM Punk.
