Bronson Reed made a bad decision at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames, veteran sheds light on injury
'Big' Bronson Reed stepped inside WarGames at WWE Survivor Series last Saturday and did significant damage throughout the match. Unfortunately for him, a spot where he jumped off the top of the steel structure backfired. Reed suffered an injury at the Premium Live Event and it appears his rivalry with Seth Rollins on WWE RAW has been put on hold for now.
Wrestling veteran Jim Cornette expressed that he can't comprehend why the athlete chose to go through with that spot after the women executed it earlier in the night. IYO SKY and Tiffany Stratton jumped off the cage in a memorable spot during the opening Women's WarGames match.
Speaking on the Jim Cornette Experience, Cornette claimed that because the live crowd got to see a similar spot, it just did not make sense for the 330-pound wrestler to put his body on the line in such a dangerous way:
"Except some of the egregious—you know, how many tables can we break? We didn't need that. The girls had jumped off the top of the cage before these guys did. I guarantee you if a girl jumped off the scaffold of Starcade 86 in the first match before I went out there, I would have said, 'F**k it. I'm not doing it,' because they've already done it anyway." As a consequence of The Auszilla's decision, WWE reportedly had to bring back Drew McIntyre early. McIntyre shocked fans in the closing moments of RAW this past Monday, hitting Sami Zayn with a Claymore.
No word on when Bronson Reed will be back on WWE RAW
Bronson Reed's push commenced in August after he attacked Seth Rollins two nights after SummerSlam. His inclusion into the Punk-Rollins rivalry came out of left field, but The Visionary taking time off and The Auszilla's subsequent program with Braun Strowman helped massively elevate the young stalwart.
Upon the former World Heavyweight Champion's return, Reed and Rollins traded wins. A rubber match made sense, but for now, it will have to wait. Suffice it to say that 'Big' Bronson Reed has never looked better in his career than he did in the last few months.
At Survivor Series, Bronson Reed joined Solo Sikoa's Bloodline in a losing effort to take down Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Sami Zayn and CM Punk. It remains to be seen how Sikoa and clan retaliate on SmackDown in the coming weeks.
