Bronson Reed makes a statement about his unfortunate Survivor Series: WarGames injury
Bronson Reed has made another statement about his most recent injury. Following an epic performance at Survivor Series: WarGames, the "monster" suffered an unfortunate foot injury. Having recently undergone surgery, he is expected to be out for a while.
The Australian star fractured his ankle while attempting a risky stunt. Climbing the enormous WarGames steel cage, Bronson Reed reached the pinnacle before trying to execute a Tsunami on Roman Reigns, who was lying on a table underneath. Unfortunately, the outcome was far from expected in multiple ways.
Not only did CM Punk manage to pull the Original Tribal Chief out of the way in the last minute, but Reed's feet also made contact with the mat before the rest of his body landed, causing the injury. This was, of course, an unexpected blow, especially given the wave of momentum he was riding.
Nevertheless, the 330-pound behemoth stands by his decision to pull off the move. Taking to Instagram, he shared another picture of the move that led to his injury, but from a different angle, with an interesting caption.
"If you ride like lightning, you're going to crash like thunder," wrote Bronson Reed.
As mentioned earlier, Reed successfully underwent what was reportedly a complicated surgery. He is now expected to make his return in a few months time.
Bronson Reed promises to use his recovery time to "evolve"
An injury of this magnitude would leave many disappointed, and while that is the case for Bronson Reed too, he is also taking it in stride. The 36-year-old knows he will be out of action for a while, but he continues to remain positive. He shared a tweet on X, and he promised to evolve.
Reed wrote of his belief that in the pro wrestling business, constant evolution is important and that he plans to do just that during his recovery. He also imparted some words of wisdom, stating that one's outlook can make or break them. He also affirmed that he refused to have his spirit broken.
These are certainly trying times for Reed. But, with a positive attitude like this, he is sure to return, bigger, stronger, and more dangerous than ever. And, when he does make his presence felt once more, the entire locker room will be put on notice.
