Bill Apter thinks Drew McIntyre's WWE return was fast-tracked because of Bronson Reed

In a recent Q&A session on Sportskeeda's Backstage Pass, legendary wrestling journalist Bill Apter explained that WWE might have brought Drew McIntyre back on RAW in light of Bronson Reed's injury.

The 79-year-old veteran added that McIntyre essentially replaced Reed as a top-level heel and that he was not initially slated to return until Saturday Night's Main Event or the 2025 Royal Rumble:

"I haven't heard any updates [on Reed's injury] except that this is the reason, I figure, that Drew McIntyre was brought back so quickly... to be the heel, to replace Bronson Reed. I didn't think Drew was gonna come back until the Royal Rumble or do a run-in at Saturday Night's Main Event."

One can only hope Bronson Reed returns to in-ring action in time for Royal Rumble on February 1, 2025, as he is sure to be one of the favorites if he enters the Men's Royal Rumble Match.
