Bronson Reed threatens female WWE official; popular star responds
The WWE Universe watched Bronson Reed crank the intensity up on his dominance in 2024, but unfortunately, he was forced to go on hiatus to close out the successful year. After a fan video made the rounds today, Reed threatened WWE official Daphanie LaShaunn and just received a surprising response.
The King Of Monsters began carving his own spot in World Wrestling Entertainment several months back after expressing frustration to RAW General Manager Adam Pearce. Reed then began taking out top names like Seth Rollins, Braun Strowman, and The Miz, among others. Solo Sikoa ended up recruiting the Australian grappler for WarGames, but their five-man New Bloodline team was defeated by CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and the rest of The OG Bloodline.
A member of the WWE Universe caught the eye of the injured Bronson and others today with a WWE 2K24 clip of Godzilla tossing a female referee out of the ring and then posing with the Universal Championship. The CAW featured "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan's motions, with Reed's theme.
One familiar face responded to the Kong video and joked that this will be Bronson when he's able to return. With the reply, Callosum Studios owner and Bray Wyatt associate Jason Baker implied Reed is not done wrecking officials. The Monster himself responded and confirmed Jason's in-jest prediction with a threat to referee Daphanie LaShaunn.
"And I'm gonna do that to @RefBaeDaphWWE," Bronson Reed wrote.
LaShaunn quickly fired back and joked around with the menacing RAW Superstar. The 30-year-old referee left Reed with a death wish in the form of the dreaded single Lego left on a floor.
"That's crazyyyy. See now I hope you step on a lego barefoot!" Daphanie LaShaunn wrote.
LaShaunn wrestled before joining WWE and is a two-time SHINE champion. The Brazil native signed in February 2020 after working a tryout two months prior, and started out as an NXT referee. She is married to Leon Ruff.
Update on Bronson Reed's WWE status
Bronson Reed had a big year, competing in several high-profile matches. The one-time NXT North American Champion won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in April, then made his WarGames debut at the 38th annual Survivor Series in late November.
The Men's WarGames match saw CM Punk and The OG Bloodline defeat Reed and The New Bloodline. A highlight saw Reed fly with a Tsunami Splash to put Roman Reigns through a table, but Punk saved him, and Bronson landed hard through the table. It was said backstage that night that Reed suffered an injury to one or both ankles, but he later indicated a right ankle injury and went home to see doctors.
The Top Dog underwent successful surgery on December 11 in Alabama. Reed is rumored to be on the shelf through WrestleMania 41, as the damage was worse than originally thought.
