Bryan Danielson allegedly paid respect to controversial former WWE star in subtle way

AEW star Bryan Danielson allegedly paid respect to a former WWE Superstar, who had a controversial exit from the company in 2018. Enzo Amore recently claimed that Danielson respects his in-ring skills, especially his selling.

Amore was fired by WWE after he was accused of sexual assault in early 2018. He briefly retired from professional wrestling to focus on his music career before returning to the independent circuit in 2019.

The Real One had the gift of gab but he wasn't the best wrestler in the ring. However, it seems like Danielson respected his selling so much that he told people in the AEW locker room to watch films of him wrestling to learn how to properly sell.

"I never got a chance to work with [Danielson] much but I was surprised to hear from Big Cass that he was a fan of my work in the ring. I heard he was talking to the boys at AEW about my selling and telling them to watch me sell which is f*cking nuts. I would never expect to hear that, probably not even true, but apparently, Big Cass and a few of the boys came up to me on the indies and told me he was putting me over and talking about my selling," Amore said on Wrestling Shoot Interviews. Amore also had a lot of nice things to say about his former co-workers in WWE such as Matt Cardona, Mercedes Mone, Saraya, Rusev, R-Truth, and Corey Graves.

Enzo Amore once claimed he never had a bad match in his WWE career

In addition to his skills on the mic, Enzo Amore also talked about his time in WWE. Amore was very proud of his wrestling resume, claiming on Busted Open Radio in August 2023 that he has never had a batch match because of his selling.

"I never had a bad match. You can't have a bad match when you do this thing called selling, okay? Selling. And I sold my a** out to the point that we sold tickets, and we sold t-shirts, and I became the number one merchandise seller in all of pro wrestling as a rookie, and people want to act like it didn't happen. So I don't want to erase history," Amore said. [H/T eWrestlingNews]

Enzo Amore is still wrestling on the independent scene and most recently faced fellow former WWE star Top Dolla, now known as AJ Francis, at Championship Wrestling From Memphis on July 20.
