Bully Ray defends 4-time WWE champion's questionable booking on the main roster
WWE has made several questionable choices with superstars in the past after they moved to the main roster. Recently, Hall of Famer Bully Ray defended Nikki Cross' run on the main roster under the previous regime.
Nikki Cross was stuck in limbo after moving to WWE's main roster, as the previous regime never understood the character she developed on NXT. However, Cross turned it around after a while, as she became the RAW Women's Champion and won the Women's Tag Team Championship on three occasions.
During a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, the host described Nikki Cross' main roster run as a failure. The Hall of Famer immediately disagreed with the statement and defended Cross' run on WWE's main roster and praised her stint as Nikki A.S.H.
"I'm not on board with your use of the word failure when talking about Nikki Cross. Not even close, but a failure? I'm sorry, I cannot. Just because she pulled off the superhero character so well, that alone gets her out of failure territory. I think Nikki Cross has had a fair to midland run on the main roster," Ray said. Nikki Cross recently appeared on WWE RAW as part of the Wyatt Sicks
After ditching the superhero gimmick, Nikki Cross was once again lost on the main roster. After a feud with Rhea Ripley and an alliance with Duodrop, Cross went back to her previous gimmick from NXT.
However, the push didn't last long, as she had nothing substantial to do on Monday Night RAW. Later, the 35-year-old went on a hiatus from weekly television and resurfaced as a member of the Wyatt Sicks.
The group instantly created fear in the hearts of several across the globe following their spine-chilling debut in Texas to close Monday Night RAW. However, she made another appearance on the flagship show this past Monday.
During the latest episode of the flagship show, Cross appeared in character as a member of the Wyatt Sicks and confronted Michael Cole after Chad Gable's match. She delivered a package to the commentator before walking away.
