Bully Ray wants 33-year-old female star to win WWE Money in the Bank; believes she'll elevate the briefcase's prestige over World Championship
WWE Superstars IYO SKY, Lyra Valkyria, Tiffany Stratton, Naomi, Zoey Stark, and Chelsea Green are booked for the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada this Saturday. Meanwhile, wrestling veteran Bully Ray has predicted which of the above-mentioned female stars he thinks has earned the right to win the Woman's MITB Match.
Chelsea Green has held the Women's Tag Team Championship once with Sonya Deville, and later with Piper Niven. On the June 21 installment of Friday Night SmackDown, The Hot Mess secured a big win by defeating Bianca Belair and Michin to qualify for Money in the Bank.
On a recent edition of Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray stated that he wants the 33-year-old to win the MITB briefcase. The 52-year-old WWE legend believes Chelsea Green with the briefcase would be "entertainment gold" due to her character work and ability to generate excitement.
"1000% who I want to win is Chelsea Green. Who do you think will win? Lyra [Valkyria]. Chelsea with that briefcase is entertainment gold..it's just gold. But it's never going to happen," he said.
The WWE Hall of Famer also pointed out that awarding the Ms. Money in the Bank title to The Hot Mess could potentially elevate the prestige of the briefcase over the Women's World Championship.
"Because, as I said, as you backed up, Chelsea with that briefcase, she will make that briefcase mean more than anybody else. She will look at that briefcase as if it is more important than the Women’s World Championship." [H/T: Cultaholic Wrestling]
Former WWE star doesn't believe Chelsea Green would win the Women's Money in the Bank 2024
Wrestling veteran Matthew Rehwoldt (FKA Aiden English) shared his two cents on which female star could possibly grab the WWE MITB briefcase this Saturday in Canada.
Speaking on the Reeboked podcast, the current TNA commentator predicted that either Lyra Valkyria or Tiffany Stratton could walk out as the 2024 Ms. Money in the Bank.
"So, that's the thing. Again, just kinda based on like common logic, recent bookings, and long-term potential—the way they've been using them—I think it's either Tiffany or Lyra," said Rehwoldt.
