Carmella shares major update

WWE Superstar Carmella has been absent from television since March 2023 due to her pregnancy. Recently, the former SmackDown Women's Champion shared an update on her health.

In her last in-ring match, The Princess of Staten Island faced Bianca Belair in a one-on-one contest during the March 6, 2023, episode of Monday Night RAW. However, she lost the bout to The EST. Later, the 37-year-old female star went on maternity leave and welcomed her first child with her husband, Corey Graves, in November 2023.

On Bayley's Instagram Live, Carmella provided an update on her life after motherhood. The former WWE 24/7 Champion disclosed that she developed nerve damage in her foot following the birth of her child, leading to a condition known as 'drop foot.'

"I love being a mom. It's the best thing I've ever done ever, in my whole entire life. That being said, of course I miss WWE. Of course, I miss everyone. I miss being Carmella. I miss performing. I miss it so much. I wish I had an update for you guys. For those that don't know I have some nerve damage in my foot from delivering Dimitri. I have what's called drop foot. It's this nerve behind your knee. It sucks," she said. [H/T: Fightful]

Carmella further says she is undergoing medical treatments for recovery

The Princess of Staten Island revealed that she has been dealing with injuries for the first time in her ten to twelve-year wrestling career. She described undergoing various treatments, including physical therapy, chiropractic adjustments, and MRIs.

While acknowledging the extended healing time for nerve injuries, Carmella expressed hope for a full recovery and a return to WWE in-ring competition.

"I wrestled for ten to twelve years, never had an injury, knock on wood, and now I'm doing physical therapy, going to the chiropractor, getting MRIs, and doing all this stuff that I never thought I would be doing, but here we are. Hopefully, eventually, nerves do take a lot of time to heal, but eventually, we'll get back to it," she added. [H/T: Fightful]
