Carmelo Hayes makes hilarious mystery man prediction ahead of WWE SmackDown

Tonight's WWE SmackDown will be another high-stakes episode from the blue brand as they look to wrap up another successful year for the company. Faced with potentially losing Carmelo Hayes to RAW, Nick Aldis has booked the rising star against a mystery opponent on the show. Hayes has just revealed his state of mind going into the important match-up.

The Thriller from New England was called to SmackDown in the 2024 Draft. Hayes since then has chased the United States Championship, battled Andrade, and had two strong televised matches with Cody Rhodes. The final NXT Cruiserweight Champion approached the SmackDown General Manager last week and threatened to go to RAW for Netflix unless Aldis began coveting him. The blue brand's GM said he actually does have something special in the works for the 30-year-old, and later booked him against a mystery opponent for this week's show.

Hayes seems to be in a confident mood going into tonight's SmackDown match. The former NXT Champion took to X (fka Twitter) and shared a photo of his match graphic, making a light-hearted jab and prediction at the mystery man's silhouette.

"Judging by the silhouette, we bout the same size. W Melo tonight #Smackdown," Hayes wrote with the graphic below.

Carmelo Hayes lost a RAW dark match to the Undisputed WWE Champion this past Monday. His last televised bout was an 11-minute SmackDown loss to Cody Rhodes on November 22.
