Carmelo Hayes sends a message to former AEW star ahead of upcoming match on WWE SmackDown
Carmelo Hayes has sent a message to his fans. He mentioned a former AEW star ahead of their upcoming clash on WWE SmackDown. The name in question is Andrade.
Andrade is as prolific as they come in the ring. His ability to put on great matches saw him become the NXT Champion a couple of years ago. However, his main roster run didn't live up to its full potential, and he was eventually released from the company. He went on to join AEW, but his career was marred by an injury that kept him out of the ring for several months.
Hence, when his contract was up, he left Tony Khan's promotion and jumped ship to WWE. Since then, Andrade has proven himself to be a prominent member of the SmackDown roster. Currently, he has been having trouble with Carmelo Hayes, who has wasted no opportunity to run his mouth. This resulted in a match between both men on the July 19 episode of SmackDown, which was won by the former AEW star.
Hayes confronted Andrade after the match and got him to agree to another match this week on the blue brand. Recently, Hayes celebrated his birthday. He took to social media to thank the fans for their wishes. He also mentioned that he is going to "run it back" against Andrade on SmackDown.
"Yoo shoutout to everyone who sent me birthday love! Only thing I want for my birthday is to run it back against Andrade tomorrow night on #SmackDown…. "
