Cathy Kelley reveals why she missed RAW; 6-time WWE world champion involved
The latest episode of episode of WWE RAW didn’t see Cathy Kelley present backstage in Calgary. This was very surprising for the fans, especially since the star is more or less a constant presence in WWE shows. Now, the backstage personality has revealed that she was away from the show because of a six-time WWE World Champion.
Batista, who is a two-time WWE Champion and a four-time World Heavyweight Champion, has been working on his upcoming Hollywood film The Killer’s Game for quite some time now. The movie has been directed by J. J. Perry and will release on September 13, 2024.
Recently, Cathy Kelley added a tweet on X/Twitter wherein she informed the WWE Universe that she was on her way to interview The Animal for the movie.
“omw to talk to @DaveBautista about #TheKillersGame @Lionsgate,” wrote Kelley.

Notably, Drew McIntyre, who is also working in the movie alongside Batista, promoted it on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. However, the former world champion was present on the show and even had a promo segment.
WWE star Drew McIntyre recently revealed how Batista was involved in getting him a role in The Killer's Game
Drew McIntyre recently appeared for an interview with Chris Van Vliet for his Insight podcast. The Scotsman was asked about The Killer’s Game and his role in it.
This prompted The Scottish Warrior to unveil how Batista got him involved in the project after director J. J. Perry made a specific demand.
“J. J. Perry had said, ‘I've got this idea for this Scottish brothers, the Mackenzie brothers. I have one of them. The other one, I just want to be, you know, the big, imposing guy that can feasibly and realistically beat you up. I just want them to have these thick Scottish accents and be just wild, kind of drinking party badasses that are somewhat unintelligible because of their thick accents.’ And Dave [Batista] basically said, I actually know that guy, he exists.’ He called me,” said McIntyre.
While McIntyre’s movie career will launch soon, this week he announced that he had ended the WWE career of CM Punk. However, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce told him that Punk wanted a piece of him once again after his reckless ambush. Pearce also noted that the two superstars will fight at WWE Bad Blood in a Hell in a Cell match.
Notably, commentator Wade Barrett, with whom McIntyre had earlier tried to pick a bone, highlighted that the Scotsman doesn’t have a good Hell in a Cell record. It would be interesting to see the third chapter in the trilogy of the McIntyre-Punk feud unfold on October 5, 2024.
