Chad Gable challenges the WWE Universe ahead of upcoming title match
Chad Gable's long quest to hoist a singles championship in the Monday Night RAW men's division is commendable, but he appears to have lost a lot of support from the WWE Universe. Gable has an answer to them, though.
In the last two weeks, Master Gable has forced the Alpha Academy to follow orders exactly how he puts them, without giving them some space to think for themselves. This led to two moments with Otis in the ring recently, in which the fans reacted loudly when the 32-year-old was finally ready to punish Gable for the latter's manipulative actions of late.
Nevertheless, the former Money in the Bank winner walked away. It remains to be seen if he will come for Chad Gable's aid in the upcoming title match against WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn. The Alpha Academy's leader asked fans on Instagram what "feels wrong" about him being the Intercontinental Champion:
"What feels wrong about this? Go ahead, I’ll wait…," wrote Gable.
The bout at Clash at the Castle: Scotland is one of the most anticipated on the card. Chad Gable has been after the Intercontinental Championship since the fall of 2023. He may have a legitimate chance at dethroning Zayn this Saturday.
Will Otis finally pick a side at WWE Clash at the Castle: Scotland?
Sami Zayn has repeatedly reminded Alpha Academy that they do not need Chad Gable, who has become a manipulator who wants nothing for anybody else but himself. Despite this, and the display of mixed emotions, the group ultimately is by the Master's side.
This week on RAW, there was a major turning point. It was the closest to when Otis decided to stand up, evoking a loud reaction from fans. But it did not happen. Perhaps WWE is saving the major turn for a bigger event, like say, Clash at the Castle in Glasgow, Scotland?
If the former Money in the Bank winner does decide to turn on his leader, then the upcoming international show is the best venue to do it. As for Chad Gable, he may find it hard to go back in line, but he will not need to.
