Charlotte Flair pays tribute to Eddie Guerrero

Eddie Guerrero is trending worldwide today as fans remember the Hall of Famer on his death anniversary. Numerous people have honored Eddie with special social media tributes, including current AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Moné. One of Mone's former rivals, Charlotte Flair, also paid tribute to the late legend.

Latino Heat is widely regarded by many as one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time. Guerrero tragically passed away on November 13, 2005, at the age of 38. WWE's eleventh Triple Crown Champion and sixth Grand Slam Champion has inspired multiple superstars of the modern era, with many paying homage at various points in their careers. Eddie wrestled more than 1,500 matches and secured twenty-two championship reigns in his nineteen-year career.

The Queen is currently preparing for her WWE return after being on the shelf for eleven months with injuries. Charlotte is another noted Guerrero admirer who took to X/Twitter today to pay tribute. She responded to WWE's tribute post with a heart and dove emoji.

"[red heart emoji] [dove emoji]," Charlotte Flair wrote.

Charlotte's father was actually the first major name Eddie wrestled in his main WCW run. Ric Flair won a highly-praised match over Eddie Guerrero on Nitro in December 1995, again in May 1996, and then he retained the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship over Guerrero at Hog Wild 1996.

The final Flair vs. Guerrero singles match took place at WWE King of the Ring 2002, and ended with Flair winning.

Eddie Guerrero praised by WWE official

The wrestling world is remembering Eddie Guerrero today on the nineteenth anniversary of his tragic passing at the age of 38. Wrestlers and fans also remembered the iconic superstar just over one month ago, on October 9, which would've been his 57th birthday.

William Regal worked with Latino Heat in WCW and WWE. Taking to X/Twitter to celebrate Eddie's birthday, Regal declared Guerrero to be the best all-around pro wrestler ever. WWE's Vice President of Global Talent Development also remembered Eddie Guerrero as a very close friend.

"Without a doubt in my mind Eddie was the best all round Pro Wrestler ever. An exceptional in ring command and ability to wrestle anyone in the world without ever meeting them until the bell went, entertaining skills and presence and exceptional (once he figured it out) talking ability. And a very close friend. The greatest.x," William Regal wrote.

Eddie Guerrero defeated Lord Regal on WCW Nitro in January 1996, then won a dark rematch and a Main Event rematch later in the year. The two legends only teamed up in WWE, with their squad winning on both occasions in 2002.
