Charlotte Flair reacts to history making moment amid WWE hiatus

WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair recently shared her reaction to a historic moment in the Stamford-based company amid her absence from the squared circle. The Queen has yet to make a television appearance this year.

The 38-year-old tore her ACL, MCL, and Meniscus during her singles match against Asuka on the December 8, 2023 edition of Friday Night SmackDown. Flair had to undergo surgery and has been away from any action since.

Amid her WWE hiatus, however, Charlotte Flair has been active on social media. She took to her X/Twitter account earlier today to reshare USA Network's post on the eighth anniversary of the first-ever women's Hell in a Cell Match featuring Charlotte and former WWE Superstar Sasha Banks. Flair won the match to become the new RAW Women's Champion.

"We had one shot at being first—glad we left our mark💎🤝," she wrote.

WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair opens up about her devastating injury

Charlotte Flair is one of the most decorated superstars in the Stamford-based promotion's history. The Queen, however, might miss the entirety of 2024 due to the injuries she sustained last year in December.

During her appearance on the Forever Young Podcast, Flair stated she felt like her life was over after she got injured. She claimed it was upsetting to be put on the shelf while her husband Andrade was getting ready to make his WWE return. Charlotte pointed out that it has been a major challenge, but she hopes to come out of it as a better version of herself.

"When it first happened, I thought my life was over. [laughs] I was like, oh my gosh, a perfect storm. My husband [Andrade] had just come back to the company or was on his way back. I knew he was gonna be debuting soon, and I just, from the moment I was taken out, I just have kept telling myself that I'm gonna come back the best version of The Queen, and when I do come back, and you never like to be sidelined due to an injury. But then again, I'm not sure if I would have ever sidelined myself had it not been for the injury, so it's been a challenge, but a challenge I know that's gonna make me better in the long run," she said.
