Roman Reigns' full statement on Afa's passing
Reigns lost his uncle mere weeks after his father's passing.
He took to Twitter and thanked everyone for their support. Check out his full comment below:
"Our family has suffered another great loss with the passing of my uncle and WWE Hall of Famer, Gataivasā Afa Amituana'i Anoa'i. We thank everyone for their support and are comforted by the fact that he now rests in peace. Afa and my father, Pola’ivao Leati Sika Anoa’I were loving brothers, the greatest tag team of their generation, and now they’re reunited together in heaven. Rest in Power Wild Samoans."
Afa and Sika, The Wild Samoans, were among the greatest tag teams of their generation. During their time in WWE, they won the Tag Team Championship on three occasions. The duo was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007.
As for Roman Reigns, he is the biggest active superstar from the Anoa'i family today. He is the top draw in WWE and is one of this generation's most beloved stars.
He is currently feuding with The Bloodline on WWE SmackDown. Solo Sikoa overtook the faction during Reigns' absence and is now the leader of The Bloodline.
The Sportskeeda Wrestling community sends its heartfelt condolences to the Anoa'i family.
