Charlotte Flair shares cute update with husband following surgery

Charlotte Flair sustained multiple knee injuries, including tears to her ACL, MCL, and meniscus, during her match against Damage CTRL's Asuka on the December 8 Tribute to the Troops special WWE SmackDown show.

WWE has projected a nine-month recovery period for Charlotte, who shared an update on social media regarding her successful knee surgery.

Earlier today, on Instagram, a photo of The Queen, displaying a cast on her knee, standing with the support of crutches, was posted as a story on her social media handle. The photo is presumably taken by her husband, Andrade El Idolo. The two are also seen in a car together.

Before her injury, there were allegedly plans for Charlotte Flair to contend for the Women's Tag Team Championship alongside Shotzi. Being one of the premium athletes of the company, it's a no-brainer that she would have been booked for a major match on the match card of WrestleMania 40.

Is Charlotte's husband Andrade El Idolo WWE bound?

Andrade wrestled his final AEW match on December 30, at AEW Worlds End. While it is unclear at the moment, plenty of fans would like to see the former United States Champion return to the global juggernaut on the Road to WrestleMania.

There is a clear storyline that he could be part of in the coming months, according to the WWE Universe.

"I want to thank you for this time that I belonged to the company @aew and above all to Tony khan I also want to say goodbye to all the talent, security people, cameramen, referees and everyone who works in the company for being part of my time in AEW," Andrade wrote on Instagram following his AEW departure.

Often cited as a missed opportunity during his run on WWE's main roster, with fans particularly pointing to his TV feud with Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio, perhaps this time around the company may be looking to utilize him better.

His return is not confirmed yet, albeit his previously scheduled appearance post-AEW was cancelled a few days back. GCW announced that Andrade has withdrawn from his match tonight against Jonathan Gresham at the No Compadre event in Chicago.
