Charlotte Flair shows off impressive physique amid WWE injury hiatus
Charlotte Flair continues to train for her return to the WWE ring. The multi-time champion has provided another update with a look at her impressive physique.
The Queen has not wrestled in 135 days. She has been out of action since suffering a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus in a SmackDown loss to Asuka on December 8 at WWE's Tribute to The Troops tapings. Flair underwent surgery less than one month later and was reported to be out of action for around nine months.
Flair has made it a point to keep fans updated on her recovery via social media. The 38-year-old took to her Instagram Stories today and shared a clip of her impressive physique.
"just need a tan [sunshine emoji]," Charlotte Flair posted with the clip seen in screenshots below.
Flair will return to action under a historic WWE contract, which will keep her locked into the company for several years. No updated timeframe for her return has been announced, but SummerSlam in August is rumored to be the earliest.
Charlotte Flair says WWE Championship win is the beginning for Cody Rhodes
There are many generational pro wrestlers competing today, but second-generation stars Cody Rhodes and Charlotte Flair are two of the most accomplished and well-rounded.
The daughter of Ric Flair missed WrestleMania 40 this year due to injuries, but the son of Dusty Rhodes captured the Undisputed WWE Championship by defeating Roman Reigns in the Night Two main event.
Flair recently spoke with ESPN, and while Rhodes said he was finishing his story, The Queen thinks this is just the beginning for The American Nightmare.
"I really think his story is just beginning. He’s exactly where he should be. The biggest takeaway is that Cody was here. He went away, he came back. ... Cody is a testament to knowing your worth," she said.
Flair went on to compare Rhodes to Paul Heyman in a unique way. The Grandson of a Plumber will attempt his first title defense at Backlash France on May 4 as he goes up against AJ Styles.
