Chelsea Green claims popular WWE star is envious of her
Chelsea Green took a shot at a popular WWE Superstar ahead of tonight's episode of SmackDown. Green became the inaugural Women's United States Champion at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 14.
The SmackDown Superstar defeated Michin (Mia Yim) at SNME to capture the Women's United States Championship. WWE shared a video of Green's title celebration at Saturday Night's Main Event and noted that she was just getting started. Yim reacted to the post with a two-word message.
"For now š," wrote Michin.
The Hot Mess responded to Michin's message using clever wordplay and suggested that her rival was jealous because she'd won the Women's United States Championship defeating the 35-year-old.
"She seems GREEN with envy š," she wrote.
Green had never won a singles title before capturing the Women's United States Championship this past Saturday night at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The veteran is currently in an alliance with Piper Niven on SmackDown, and the duo had an impressive reign as Women's Tag Team Champions last year.
Former WWE writer claims Chelsea Green is bound to turn babyface following title win
Wrestling legend Vince Russo recently suggested that Chelsea Green would be turning babyface after becoming the inaugural Women's United States Champion at Saturday Night's Main Event.
Speaking on this week's episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, the former head writer for the Stamford-based promotion noted that Green was already very popular among the WWE Universe and the company had made the right choice by making her champion.
He added that it was only a matter of time before the company decided to turn Green babyface due to the reaction she was getting from fans on WWE television.
"It was Chelsea Greenās time. The fans are telling you. The fans are making it crystal clear. It was definitely Chelsea Greenās time on Saturday. [...] Big time. Absolutely. Without a shadow of a doubt. [Chelsen Green turning babyface]. They will do that no doubt," he said. [From 30:56 onwards]

Michin defeated Green in a Dumpster Match earlier this year. It will be interesting to see what the company has planned for their rivalry in the weeks ahead on SmackDown.
