Chelsea Green makes bold claim ahead of WWE SmackDown
Chelsea Green has made a statement ahead of tonight's edition of WWE SmackDown at Madison Square Garden in New York. The veteran picked up a major victory last week on the blue brand.
WWE Money in the Bank 2024 will go down on July 6 and there are three qualifying matches scheduled for tonight's show. Chelsea Green defeated Bianca Belair and Michin in a Money in the Bank Qualifying Triple Threat match last week on SmackDown. She will be competing in the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder match next month in Toronto.
Ahead of tonight's edition of WWE SmackDown, a wrestling fan claimed they would be upset if Green were to come up short at the premium live event next weekend. Green reacted to the fan's message and vowed to win the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder match.
"I won’t lose," she wrote.
Chelsea Green and Piper Niven are former Women's Tag Team Champions but were dethroned by Kayden Carter and Katana Chance last December. Niven battled Bayley for the WWE Women's Championship at Clash at the Castle and Green attempted to get involved in the match several times. However, The Role Model was able to overcome the distractions and retained her title at the premium live event in Scotland.
WWE veteran praises Chelsea Green for being entertaining
Dutch Mantell has complimented Chelsea Green and claimed she is the most entertaining female star on the roster.
Speaking on the most recent edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk show, the veteran noted that Green is very likable and plays her character to perfection. Mantell stated Green is so entertaining that she could read a phone book on television and he'd tune in.
"She just has that personality that connects. It always connected with me not just in the ring but outside because that's her personality. Very, very likable, and she plays bumbling heel to perfection. You always wonder, what is she going to do next? What is she going to say? How is she going to act? Very, very entertaining. I think she is the most entertaining female talent they have in WWE. I mean, she can do anything. She can read a phone book, and I'd watch it." [34:50 onwards]

Chelsea Green has never captured a singles title during her time in the company. Only time will tell if the 33-year-old can emerge victorious next weekend at Money in the Bank.
