Chelsea Green makes outrageous claim about the Women's United States Championship

WWE introduced the new Women's United States Championship on Friday Night SmackDown on November 8. Chelsea Green has already made a claim about the title.

For years, WWE's female talent only had the Women's Championship belt to challenge for. This meant that only two women in the entire division could hold a title at any given time.

However, with WWE's ever-expanding roster, they decided to finally shake things up a few years ago and introduced the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships. These titles also strengthened the tag team division, as many women formed tag teams and competed for these titles.

Now, after the successful year the company has had, the Stamford-based promotion introduced the Women's United States Championship. Nick Aldis announced that there would be a tournament to crown the first-ever Women's US Champion. Two of the women competing in the tournament are Chelsea Green and Piper Niven, who are tag team partners.

A fan asked on social media whether both women could hold the title. Green answered the question in the affirmative.

"Yes we can."

Chelsea Green responds to a popular analyst predicting that she will win the Women's US Championship

Chelsea Green has been on a roll since her return to WWE. She won the Women's Tag Team Championships and has consistently delivered standout performances in her segments. She is also one of the most entertaining stars on the entire roster.

Chelsea also came pretty close to winning the Money in the Bank ladder match earlier this year. This is why popular wrestling analyst Gabi picked Chelsea to become the first-ever Women's US Champion on the Ten Count Media podcast.

The former NXT star also agreed with Gabi and said the latter does not need to explain why she will win the new title.

“No need to explain, we all know why 😘,” she wrote.
