Chelsea Green’s WWE championship gains unique plates following Saturday Night's Main Event
Chelsea Green made WWE history less than 24 hours ago. The inaugural Women's United States Champion and Piper Niven have celebrated Green's tournament finals win over Michin at the return of Saturday Night's Main Event, and now there's more cause for celebration: Green's unique, custom side plates.
World Wrestling Entertainment's Hot Mess has held the Women's Tag Team Championship on one occasion, and she's a former TNA Knockouts World Champion, but SNME marked her first-ever singles championship win in WWE. The win was Green's payback for Michin's Dumpster Match victory in October, despite needing help from Niven.
Green has just been presented with her custom championship side plates featuring her name and initials. The video below shows how the 33-year-old immediately reacted backstage. She also took to X with a bit of perfect feedback.
"Perfect side plates for a perfect girl," Chelsea Green wrote.
Officials have not announced Green's first title defense, but it will not occur on Friday's taped SmackDown. There are rumors of Michin getting the first shot, or Bayley, who Green defeated in the semi-finals on last Friday's SmackDown.
Chelsea Green lashes out at WWE partner
The WWE Universe has congratulated Chelsea Green in a major way since her big win at SNME last night. Green defeated Michin to become the inaugural Women's United States Champion and was later praised by Triple H.
Green was later named Superstar of the Week by the USA Network. However, this wasn't good enough as Green lashed out over how she should be Superstar of the Year.
"WHY AM I NOT SUPERSTAR OF THE YEAR?!??" Chelsea Green wrote.
The tournament finals at Saturday Night's Main Event marked Green's first title match since she and Piper Niven lost the Women's Tag Team Championship to Katana Chance and Kayden Carter in December 2023. She did compete in the Women's World Championship Battle Royal back in April, which was won by Becky Lynch.
