Chelsea Green sends a message to Vince Russo; makes a huge claim ahead of an upcoming WWE event

Chelsea Green sent a message to former WWE head writer Vince Russo ahead of her match against Bayley on SmackDown. The 33-year-old also made a bold claim in the post.

Green is one of the four semi-finalists remaining in the ongoing Women's United States Championship Tournament. She advanced to the semis after defeating Bianca Belair and Blair Davenport in a Triple-Threat Qualifying Match. The Canadian star will face Bayley on SmackDown this Friday, with the winner advancing to the final which will take place at Saturday Night's Main Event.

Chelsea Green is one of the favorites to win the tournament and she seems fairly confident of her chances. She took to her X (fka Twitter) account to send a message to Vince Russo today, stating that she expected the former WWE employee to praise her on his podcast after she became the inaugural Women's United States Champion.

"I expect you to say unbelievably nice things about me next week after I’m your first US women’s champion…," she wrote.

Vince Russo wants WWE to put the belt on Chelsea Green

Chelsea Green has become a prominent part of the WWE women's division since returning to the company in 2023. She is widely regarded as the best re-hire by Triple H and is very popular among fans despite not having an impressive record inside the squared circle.

The 33-year-old is backed by many to become the first-ever Women's United States Champion and Vince Russo also feels the same. The veteran noted on BroDown on Backstage Pass that he would like to see Green defeat Tiffany Stratton in the final of the tournament.

"This is such a no-brainer. Tiffany has the [Money in the Bank] briefcase. So, Tiffany doesn't need the [US Championship] belt. Get Tiffany and Chelsea to the finals. Get Chelsea over," he said.

Green will face Bayley on SmackDown this week while Tiffany Stratton will lock horns with Michin in the other semi-final. The winners will collide at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 14 to determine the inaugural Women's United States Champion.
