Chelsea Green shares message following Money in the Bank bump; blames fellow WWE star
Chelsea Green has shared a message on social media following WWE Money in the Bank 2024. The popular star competed in the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match last night at the premium live event.
Tiffany Stratton won the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match last night to ensure a future title shot. Chelsea Green almost had the match won but Stratton shoved the ladder over and the former Women's Tag Team Champion crashed through two tables outside the ring. Ahead of the show, Cathy Kelley interviewed Green while they EdgeWalk at the CN Tower.
Green took to her Instagram today to send a message after the massive bump last night at Money in the Bank. She shared a bunch of images with Matt Cardona, her family, and backstage interviewer Cathy Kelley. The former Women's Tag Team Champion noted that Kelley forced her to risk her life for TV time in the post and shared an image of the two doing the EdgeWalk at the CN Tower.
Cathy Kelley has reacted to Green's message and wondered why she was being hostile towards her.
"IDK why you're mad at me like I'm the one who put you through two tables but okay I guess," she wrote.
Green captured the Women's Tag Team Championship last year with Sonya Deville but has never held a singles title on WWE's main roster.
Chelsea Green wants veteran to return to WWE
SmackDown star Chelsea Green has disclosed that she would like to see her husband, former WWE star Matt Cardona (Zack Ryder) return to the company.
In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling ahead of WWE Money in the Bank, the 33-year-old shared that she would love to see Cardona return to the promotion. She added that she wouldn't mind if Steph De Lander joined him as well.
"I don't know if I would work with him, but let's put a pin in that one, I am not sure. But I would obviously love to see him back. I mean ideally I would love to see him and Steph [De Lander] back together to do the GCW shtick. But you know, I would take him as my mix tag partner if I needed to." [From 0:37 onwards]

Chelsea Green recently admitted that "the true Matt Cardona came out" after the two stars got married. Only time will tell if the former Intercontinental Champion ever returns to WWE down the line.
