Chelsea Green on the verge of first milestone as WWE champion

Chelsea Green will be celebrating a huge milestone in her WWE career in two days.

Green returned to the company at the 2023 Royal Rumble and adopted a 'Karen' gimmick that quickly got over with fans. She started teaming up with Sonya Deville around March, and they even earned a spot in the Women's Showcase match at WrestleMania 39.

The former Tough Enough contestants built enough momentum to become No. 1 contenders for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship. They won it on the July 17th episode of RAW, defeating Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan.

Deville would suffer a knee injury several weeks later, and she was replaced by Piper Niven. Green remained champion, and she will be celebrating her 100th day with the title on Thursday.

It's a great accomplishment for Green, who failed to find success in her first stint with WWE. She turned the tide of her career when she took on the 'Karen' gimmick, which was so easy to hate for fans.

Chelsea Green and Piper Niven were victorious on RAW

The reigning WWE Women's Tag Team Champions were in action this past Monday on RAW. Chelsea Green and Piper Niven faced off against the makeshift team of Natalya and Nikki Cross. Tegan Nox was supposed to be Natalya's partner, but she suffered an injury on NXT last week.

Green and Niven took advantage of Cross' weird behavior during the match, wherein she just stood on the apron and stared blankly. It was like a 2-on-1 handicap match against Nattie, with the champions getting the easy victory.

However, the feud is not over based on what Natalya and Green are doing on social media. The two superstars continue to trade barbs online, so fans should look forward to Natalya finally teaming up with Tegan Nox to take on the champs.
