WWE News: Chris Jericho comments on the JeriKo storyline
Chris Jericho was recently featured as a guest on this week's Sport's Illustrated's 120 Sports. His appearance on the show was also in conjunction to promote his new upcoming event 'Talk Is Jericho LIVE w/AJ Styles' which will be happening on November 20th in Toronto, Ontario, just a few hours before Survivor Series.
Speaking to Wrestlezone's Nick Hausman over Skype, Y2J spoke about his new live show, finer details of his storyline with Owens, his appearance at Hell In A Cell and a lot more.
Talking about his loss to Seth Rollins which has ruled him out of the next PPV, Hell In A Cell, he replied jovially claiming that he was too busy thinking about his upcoming show with AJ Styles and that's why he didn't win. “I was obviously very distracted by this amazing event we have coming up”, Jericho said.
Commenting on the fan favourite storyline between him and Kevin Owens, Jericho said that the storyline is still in its early stages and there are a lot more angles to look forward to. He said:
“There's a lot of legs to this storyline..It's a storyline that is basically built organically and it was never really supposed to be a storyline.”
Reminiscing about his early story lines with Shawn Michaels in 2008 and Rey Mysterio in 2009, he affirmed that he has great chemistry with Kevin Owens and knows that JeriKO is a total hit with the WWE Universe. The JeriKO train sure has a long way to go, “there's a lot in tank for Jericho and Owens..”, Jericho said
The tickets to the show can be bought here and there are limited tickets for meet and greet too.
It was only earlier this year that Jericho partnered with sports event production company Mark-Out Moments to promote his talk show 'Talk Is Jericho'. The first show featured Christian in New York city during the SummerSlam weekend. The event turned out to be a huge success and the company since then has vowed to keep the talk show running.
Nick Hausman, who hosted the first event has also been brought as the company's director of events and will continue to host and moderate the future events. Before Talk Is Jericho was live it was only a podcast and has featured the likes of Kevin Owens, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.
The first live event of Talk With Jericho featuring Christian can be seen here in its entirety:
