WWE News: Chris Jericho takes a shot at former NXT Tag-Team Champion

Have the Revival earned themselves a pot in the List of Jericho

Chris Jericho took a shot at former NXT Tag Team Champion, Scott Dawson after Dawson tweeted a GIF of him and Dash Wilder using a move Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens used on Raw. Jericho took to Twitter to reply to the GIF calling Dawson a disrespectful indie kid.

NXT Superstar Scott Dawson tweeted a GIF on Tuesday which showcased him and his tag team partner performing Pop-up Codebreaker on Enzo Amore. The tweet came the day after Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens performed the same move on Raw.

Chris Jericho, who has had the habit of not holding back on expressing his opinions on Social Media, didn’t take to this kindly. He replied to Dawson via Twitter the following.

Soon, NXT General Manager William Regal joined the conversation as he replied to Jericho scathingly and supported the former NXT Tag Team Champions.

The Revival have recently lost their NXT Tag Team Championship to DIY and are soon rumoured to be called up to the main roster. There is a possibility that The Revival may feud with Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens on their debut on the main roster as the friendship between Owens and Jericho is one of the hottest acts in the company right now.

The friendship between Jericho and Owens has been strained in the recent weeks as both Reigns and Rollins have been consistently trying to drive the duo apart week after week. Chris Jericho will face Seth Rollins this Sunday at Roadblock – End of the Line as Reigns takes on Owens for the WWE Universal Championship.

If one remembers correctly, Kevin Owens became the WWE Universal Champion after the untimely injury of Finn Balor. With Finn Balor set to return soon, WWE may put Owens back with Jericho and form the team of JeriKO to feud with the debuting Revival.

Whether this is a friendly banter between the Superstars or a precursor to a feud between the two teams is yet unclear. But considering Jericho’s history it won’t be a huge surprise.
