CM Punk costs himself against Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam; former WWE champion forced to intervene

At WWE SummerSlam, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre finally collided in a singles match, and Seth Rollins served as the Special Guest Referee. The Straight Edge Superstar cost himself the bout by making a massive mistake.

After the bell rang, Drew and Punk immediately started throwing fists. They hit each other with several stomps in the corner, and McIntyre hit a big chop. They started brawling at ringside, but Seth Rollins refused to count them out.

Back in the ring, Drew McIntyre planted CM Punk with a snap suplex and got a two-count. The Scottish Warrior performed two powerbombs for another nearfall. Drew picked up a chair and tried to hit The Second City Saint with it, but Rollins stopped him. McIntyre tried to hit a Claymore, but the former AEW Champion countered with a kick.

The Straight Edge Superstar nailed his opponent with an elbow drop for a two-count. He then locked Drew in the Anaconda Vice. Punk saw his bracelet and removed it from the latter's wrist. CM Punk and Seth Rollins started arguing, and Punk hit Rollins with the GTS.

Drew hit Punk with a low blow and followed it up with the Claymore. Seth counted the pin, and Drew McIntyre won the match. The Voice of the Voiceless made a big mistake by attacking Seth Rollins.
