CM Punk forced to sign WWE rival's t-shirt; has surprising reaction

WWE Universe welcomed CM Punk back with open arms almost eight months ago. The former AEW World Champion suffered a few setbacks and has yet to have his official in-ring return on the Stamford-based company.

Since returning to World Wrestling Entertainment at Survivor Series, the Second City Saint has had issues with Drew McIntyre. Things picked up during the Royal Rumble, but Punk suffered a shoulder injury and still has not been medically cleared to compete. If he can get cleared, WWE will announce Punk vs. McIntyre for SummerSlam 2024.

The Scottish Psychopath released his viral "Savior of WrestleMania" T-shirt in the lead-up to The Show of Shows earlier this year. The back includes boxes checked for the following goals - injure CM Punk, win the Elimination Chamber, win the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania, and become Immortal.

WWE merchandise partner Fanatics recently linked up with Punk and had him sign several of his logo shirts. A staffer quickly placed one of the McIntyre T-shirts in front of the 45-year-old. As a reaction, he didn't skip a beat in adding his signature to the back of the shirt, right where it says "championship at WrestleMania."

It should be noted that Punk has cost Drew McIntyre the World Heavyweight Championship multiple times, starting at WrestleMania XL.

If it happens at SummerSlam, Punk vs. McIntyre will be the first-ever singles bout between the two ring veterans. Since 2009, they have worked together on seven Battle Royal or Royal Rumble matches. Punk and McIntyre also teamed up for one six-man win, one eight-man loss, and one 12-man loss.

CM Punk set for WWE RAW

World Wrestling Entertainment has announced that CM Punk will return to RAW next week. Monday's show will air live from the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The official RAW preview notes that The Best In The World will address the WWE Universe as the war with Drew McIntyre continues.

"CM Punk will return to Raw next week following his brief, one-week absence. His supposed match against Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam, however, remains in jeopardy after The Scottish Warrior lost his temper again, lashing out at Adam Pearce and the Raw security officials. What will The Voice of the Voiceless discuss with his potential colossal match still up in the air? Find out next Monday at 8/7 C on USA!," reads the official preview.

WWE has also announced Sonya Deville vs. Lyra Valkyria for next week's RAW. Furthermore, The Final Testament's Karrion Kross, Akam, and Rezar will face Otis, Akira Tozawa, and Xavier Woods.
