CM Punk makes promise ahead of Drew McIntyre showdown at WWE Bash in Berlin
CM Punk made a promise ahead of his match against Drew McIntyre at WWE Bash in Berlin. The rivals are set to clash in a Strap Match in the first-ever premium live event in Germany.
McIntyre thought he had put Punk on the backburner after beating him at WWE SummerSlam. However, The Second City Saint wanted revenge, so he attacked The Scottish Warrior with a strap several weeks ago on RAW.
It led to their Strap Match at Bash in Berlin, and Punk promised to get a win over McIntyre. He also told fans at the Kickoff Show that he would hurt his rival as much as possible.
"I'm gonna keep it positive. I'm gonna stay focused. I'm gonna wake up tomorrow morning, and I'm gonna leave you all with this – I will win tomorrow night; I will hurt Drew McIntyre, and then I will be onto bigger and better things," Punk said. [1:00 - 1:15]
The first match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre had one big factor: Seth Rollins as the special guest referee. Rollins played a huge part in the match, which might have affected the outcome.
For the Strap Match, the leather belt would ensure brutality between the two superstars. Punk is 2-0 in his career in this kind of match, while McIntyre lost to Karrion Kross in their Strap Match back at Extreme Rules 2022.
CM Punk sends a message to Seth Rollins
There's a lot of history and animosity between CM Punk and Seth Rollins. The Straight-Edge Superstar won't have to worry about Rollins in his Strap Match against Drew McIntyre at WWE Bash in Berlin. However, he still managed to take a shot at The Visionary during the Kickoff Show.
"Well, there's a couple of things. You're right, I don't have to worry about my emotions, and I don't have to worry about that famous temper of mine. I also don't have to worry about a goofy, fugazi referee in Seth Rollins. So I will be more focused, I promise you that because the name of the game is do damage. The name of the game is hurt Drew McIntyre, and that's exactly what I plan on doing," Punk said. [14:42 - 15:07]
Rollins is currently out of action following an attack by Bronson Reed, who delivered six thunderous Tsunamis on him several weeks ago on WWE RAW.
