CM Punk opens up on Seth Rollins; says he "shielded" him
CM Punk sat down with Jackie Redmond for an exclusive interview during the latest episode of WWE RAW. The conversation began with a question about the favor Paul Heyman owes Punk for helping the original Bloodline at Survivor Series. Punk, however, declined to elaborate, stating it was a personal matter and not the right time to discuss it.
The focus then shifted to Seth Rollins, with Punk addressing their situation. He expressed confusion over Rollins' hatred toward him and clarified that he does not harbor any animosity toward the Visionary. Punk even recounted how he once "shielded" Rollins from being fired early in his WWE career.
The Second City Saint revealed that their relationship dates back to when a 16-year-old Rollins approached him, asking to be trained for free. Punk claimed this sense of entitlement has followed Rollins into adulthood, who tries to prove himself as "the best in the world."
While CM Punk praised Rollins for performing exceptionally well during his absence from WWE, he didn't hold back from delivering a sharp jab. Punk stated that now that he is back, "second string gotta sit back down on the bench."
All signs indicate that this rivalry between Seth Rollins and CM Punk becoming a major storyline as WWE heads toward WrestleMania 41.
