CM Punk reacts to massive WWE announcement
Multi-time world champion CM Punk has been away from WWE since the RAW after Bad Blood 2024. The Best in the World's return date has now been revealed. Recently, Punk shared his reaction to the news.
The Second City Saint beat Drew McIntyre at Bad Blood in a brutal Hell in a Cell Match. On the October 7 edition of the Monday Night Show, Punk announced he would be taking a hiatus to recover from the physical toll of his match against The Scottish Warrior.
CM Punk is set to return to WWE on December 26 as part of the WWE Live Holiday Tour. Madison Square Garden's X/Twitter handle recently announced Punk's comeback. The Voice of the Voiceless later shared the news on his Instagram Story and provided a link to purchase tickets for the much-awaited event at The Garden.
Analyst makes a bold claim about CM Punk before his imminent return to WWE
Sam Roberts recently discussed The Straight Edge Superstar's imminent return to the ring. The wrestling analyst believes CM Punk may not be done with Drew McIntyre.
On his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts said he saw both McIntyre and The Best in the World returning in time for Survivor Series: WarGames. The 41-year-old analyst predicted that Punk's next opponent could be Gunther or he could go one more round with The Scottish Warrior.
"Definite yes for [CM] Punk and Drew [McIntyre] (...) I would imagine you're gonna see a CM Punk match, maybe Punk vs. Gunther even (...) But I think Punk and Drew will be back very soon," Roberts said.
For those unaware, The Second City Saint's first opponent after a ten-year absence from WWE was Dominik Mysterio. The two locked horns at MSG on December 26, 2023. It remains to be seen whether Punk will wrestle 'Dirty' Dom again at the house show in New York City.
