CM Punk references a viral moment of The Rock, sends a message ahead of Bash In Berlin
CM Punk recently referenced a viral moment featuring The Rock. Following the release of the 'WrestleMania XL: Behind the Curtain' documentary, The Rock's "And I Told Them" meme became a hot topic in the world of professional wrestling.
At tomorrow's Bash In Berlin Premium Live Event, Punk will step into the ring against Drew McIntyre for their big rematch. The duo will lock horns in a Strap Match.
Leading up to the PLE, Punk appeared at the Fanatics Fest NYC, where members of the WWE Universe handed their babies to the former WWE Champion. Punk referenced the same by posting his version of The Rock's "And I Told Them" meme on his Instagram story.

Vince Russo believes the rematch between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre is predictable
Vince Russo has made a bold statement regarding the rematch between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's The Wrestling Outlaws, Russo stated that the reason WWE booked a Strap Match between McIntyre and Punk was to protect the former from getting pinned. He said:
"The reason bro why they are doing the Strap Match is so Drew doesn't have to get pinned, so you won't hurt Drew. This is what I mean about the predictability of this company, 1000% [...] 1000% CM Punk is going over in this Strap Match, and Drew will probably get his heat back after the match, trap CM Punk bro, so we can continue on with this."
At the SummerSlam Premium Live Event, Punk stepped foot in the ring for his first televised singles match since returning to the company in late 2023. Unfortunately, things didn't go the way he would've wanted, as The Second City Saint was pinned by McIntyre, courtesy of a distraction from the Special Guest Referee Seth Rollins.
It remains to be seen if Punk will secure his first major victory since returning to WWE.
