CM Punk sends four-word message ahead of WWE RAW return

Tonight's WWE RAW will see the return of CM Punk after a brief, one-week absence. Amid rumors and speculation on major SummerSlam plans, the former AEW World Champion has just responded to an official update from the company ahead of tonight's show.

The Second City Saint last appeared on the July 8, 2024, episode of red brand, where he kicked off the show with a heated promo featuring Seth Rollins. In the RAW preview for tonight, the company acknowledged that Punk has a "supposed match against Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam," adding that the showdown is in jeopardy due to The Scottish Psychopath and his ongoing issues with Adam Pearce.

WWE released the following footage of Punk entering Resch Center in Green Bay, WI for tonight's loaded RAW. The Straight Edge Superstar did not provide any comments in the clip, but he took to the comments section and gave a sneak peek at what he had planned.

"Gonna set the tone," CM Punk wrote.

The official USA Network account also took to the comments section with an observation.

"Look in his eyes," USA Network wrote.

RAW General Manager Adam Pearce is expected to confirm Punk vs. McIntyre for SummerSlam in the coming weeks, perhaps on tonight's RAW if the Chicago native is medically cleared to compete. He has been on the shelf since suffering a torn triceps during the Men's Royal Rumble Match earlier this year.
