CM Punk sends a message to fans days after WWE's big announcement
WWE Superstar CM Punk had a message for his fans via his official Instagram handle. Punk promoted his brand-new custom title belt, which WWE recently made available in its official shop.
Mere days before Survivor Series: WarGames 2024, Paul Heyman revealed Punk as the fifth member of Roman Reigns' OG Bloodline. At the premium live event, Reigns' squad picked up a big win over The Bloodline and Bronson Reed in a Men's WarGames match.
Immediately after CM Punk joined Roman Reigns' team on SmackDown, WWE made a big announcement and revealed new custom title belts for sale on its official shop. The belts commemorate Punk's legendary 434-day WWE title reign from 2011-13.
The Best in the World has now shared a video on his official Instagram handle. In the clip, he can be seen signing the custom belts. He also wrote the following message for his fans in the caption of the post:
"Coming soon to Xmas trees near you!"
CM Punk's 434-day WWE title reign
Punk's title reign lasted from November 20, 2011, to January 27, 2013. He won the WWE title from Alberto Del Rio at Survivor Series 2011 and thus kicked off his second run with the prestigious belt. Punk held the belt for a whopping 434 days before losing it to The Rock at the 2013 Royal Rumble PLE.
Punk's title reign, though long, was heavily praised by the WWE Universe back then. He defended the belt regularly against some of WWE's top stars. His most significant match during that period was WrestleMania 28, where he took on Chris Jericho in a WWE title match.
This heavily-publicized match lived up to fans' expectations and delivered on all fronts. It remains to be seen if CM Punk manages to win the coveted belt one last time during his current WWE run. His fans would love to see him hold the belt one final time before he calls it quits.
