CM Punk sends message after WWE RAW; Hall of Famer reacts
CM Punk has taken to social media today following RAW to share an interesting post and a WWE Hall of Famer has reacted. Seth Rollins confronted the veteran during the opening segment of last night's edition of the red brand.
The former AEW star cost Drew McIntyre his chance to cash in his Money in the Bank contract to become the new World Heavyweight Champion this past Saturday night at the premium live event. Punk's interference also cost Rollins his opportunity to become champion and he warned the Second City Saint that his actions have consequences last night.
CM Punk took to Instagram today to share some photos with WWE Hall of Famer Arnold Schwarzenegger, Santino Marella, NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez, and John Cena.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was inducted into the celebrity wing of the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015, reacted to the post with a flex emoji as seen in the image below.
RAW GM Adam Pearce asked CM Punk to not show up for WWE RAW next week as he will be having a conversation with Drew McIntyre. The Scottish Warrior flipped out after Punk cost him his Money in the Bank cash-in and accidentally elbowed Pearce in the face, resulting in an indefinite suspension.
Vince Russo comments on the interaction between Adam Pearce and CM Punk on WWE RAW
Former WWE writer Vince Russo believes there was a hidden meaning in the backstage conversation between Adam Pearce and CM Punk last night on the red brand.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW show, Russo discussed Punk saying he will not be on the show next week. The veteran suggested that this was done to highlight the 45-year-old as a ratings draw.
"There were two CM Punk things you have to see today to understand. First of all, he was sitting on the desk saying the sing-along was going on too long. Then, and this guy is smarter than that, he’s in the back with Pearce, and what does he say to Pearce? ‘I am not going to be here next week.’ Why would you ever say that in a million years? Do you know why he said that? Because we’re gonna see the ratings are higher this week than last week so you will know how valuable CM Punk is when he’s not on the show next week. He’s already telling his entire fan base, ‘ I am not going to be on the show next week.’ You would never do that. That is all by design." [From 41:56 onwards]
Drew McIntyre is still walking around with the bracelet he stole from Punk with AJ Lee and his dog's name on it. Only time will tell if Pearce will lift McIntyre's suspension next week on WWE RAW.
