CM Punk and Seth Rollins won't main event WrestleMania, says WWE veteran, due to a major reason
CM Punk and Seth Rollins opened last night's WWE RAW. Meanwhile, wrestling veteran Tommy Dreamer recently addressed the ongoing feud and claimed that the bitter rivals wouldn't headline WrestleMania 41 due to a major reason.
Earlier this year, fans expected CM Punk and Seth Rollins to main event WrestleMania XL. However, those plans were reportedly scrapped as both stars were dealt with injuries and portrayed different roles at the event in Philadelphia. Nevertheless, the two have a shot at headlining WrestleMania 41, but Tommy Dreamer believes it won't happen.
Speaking on Busted Open, the veteran spoke about the ongoing feud on Monday Night RAW. The former ECW World Champion said that while he wants The Best in The World and The Visionary to headline The Show of Shows, he reckons it won't happen if there is ''a title on the line.''
"Do I think CM Punk deserves to finally get what he wants [WrestleMania main event]? 1000% I do. Built correctly, the Seth Rollins story could've been a main event of WrestleMania with no titles on the line. If there's a title on the line, I don't see it happening just because of where I see everybody being positioned," Dreamer said. (From 12:55 to 13:23)
CM Punk brawled with Seth Rollins on WWE RAW
Earlier this month, CM Punk came face to face with Seth Rollins after The Second City Saint stepped up and assisted the OG Bloodline at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames. The move didn't sit well with The Messiah, who vowed to end The Best in The World for good.
The two stars brawled and were eventually stopped by Jey Uso and Sami Zayn to close the segment. On the latest edition of WWE RAW, CM Punk opened the show in Boston and quickly addressed and called out Seth Rollins.
The Visionary appeared from the crowd during the segment and took a few shots at The Second City Saint, leading to a massive brawl. The two brawled all over the arena until referees and officials appeared to separate them. Later, a match between the two was sanctioned for WWE RAW's debut on Netflix on January 6, 2025.
It will be interesting to see which star emerges victorious on January 6.
