CM Punk shows off visible injury following WWE Bad Blood
WWE Superstar CM Punk was involved in a gruesome battle with Drew McIntyre at the Bad Blood Premium Live Event. The two former world champions pushed each other to the limit during the Hell in a Cell Match.
The brutal match saw both stars covered in a crimson mask. The Scottish Warrior was busted open to the point he needed 16 staples to close a wound on his head. The contest ended with The Second City Saint securing the win with a GTS using a chain wrapped around his knee.
WWE recently posted a video of CM Punk during his post-show photoshoot on their official Instagram account. As the 45-year-old posed in front of the cameras, he had blood spilled over his face and appeared to have sustained a black eye. You can check out the post by clicking here.
"That’s the face of a winner! 🩸🔥," read the caption.
Former WWE Superstar accuses CM Punk of being reckless and dangerous
Former WWE Superstar Ryback shared a heated rivalry with CM Punk over a decade ago. Despite his absence from professional wrestling, The Big Guy has continued to fire shots at The Best in The World.
During his time in WWE, Ryback was labeled as an unsafe worker by several fans and fellow stars. However, the 42-year-old recently took to his X (fka Twitter) account to share a photograph and his take on Drew McIntyre needing 16 staples to close a wound following the Hell in a Cell Match.
Ryback did not mention Punk in his tweet but referred to The Scotsman's opponent as "beyond reckless" and "very dangerous" to work with. You can check out his post by clicking here.
"I’ve never done this or anything close to this to any of my opponents. I would say whoever did this to him is beyond reckless and very dangerous to work with," Ryback wrote.
After defeating Drew McIntyre in a Strap Match at Bash in Berlin, CM Punk teased going after the World Heavyweight Championship. However, The Scottish Warrior attacked The Second City Saint to continue their heated feud.
It remains to be seen if Punk will fight for the title, which will be defended in the upcoming edition of Monday Night RAW as champion, Gunther, is scheduled to lock horns with Sami Zayn later tonight.
