CM Punk sporting a different look at first WWE appearance in 41 days
CM Punk has been away from WWE since the RAW after the Bad Blood Premium Live Event on October 7, just two nights after he defeated Drew McIntyre inside Hell in a Cell. Punk was beaten and bandaged the last time fans saw him, but now he's back out in front of the public, looking a bit different.
The Second City Saint and Rey Mysterio were among the WWE Superstars who appeared at ComplexCon in Las Vegas this weekend. The wrestling legends appeared at the Culture Kings x Loiter RAW Is WAR booth. They took some fan questions and tossed out free merchandise, while Rey was spotted talking with Olympic champion Noah Lyles.
Punk, with his arm wrapped up, left his World Wrestling Entertainment future up in the air the last time he was seen. Hell in a Cell against McIntyre was that grueling for the former AEW World Champion, but many fans noticed how Punk was clean-shaven and in great spirits this past weekend in Las Vegas. Most importantly, fans in attendance noted how Punk displayed no signs of injury. Officials shared this clip of the former world champions arriving to a group of rabid fans.
"It's #ComplexCon time! [stopwatch emoji] @CMPunk & @reymysterio have arrived at @ComplexCon!" the company wrote with the video below.
Punk is reportedly set to return to the ring before this year is over. He has been announced for non-televised live events in December, but it remains to be seen when Punk will be returning to TV. However, he is being discussed for one major WWE special in the near future.
Rey Mysterio set for big WWE RAW match
Monday's taped WWE RAW episode will feature a bout of mixed tag team action. The match will continue the rivalry between American Made and The LWO.
Rey Mysterio is set to team with Zelina Vega for the fourth time on the red brand. The LWO stablemates will go up against Chad Gable and Ivy Nile of American Made, who are teaming up for the second time.
Nile defeated Vega back on the October 28 show of WWE RAW, just one week after Rey and Dragon Lee defeated The Creed Brothers in a contender's tournament match. Gable was defeated by Lee earlier this month on the red brand as the rivalry heated up.
