CM Punk spotted with top WWE heel faction ahead of SummerSlam
A top WWE heel faction seemingly broke their on-screen character when they were spotted with CM Punk in a backstage photo. The World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest has a message for the 45-year-old star ahead of SummerSlam 2024. Both superstars will be in action at The Biggest Party of the Summer, but they'll be facing different opponents.
The Archer of Infamy is set to defend his World Title against Gunther as the latter punched his ticket to the PLE in Cleveland after becoming the 2024 King of the Ring in Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, The Straight Edge Superstar and Drew McIntyre will clash in their first-ever singles match, with Seth Rollins serving as The Special Guest Referee for tonight.
Recently, The Judgment Day members Dominik Mysterio, and Rhea Ripley joined Priest for a screening of his WWE documentary at the Agora Theater & Ballroom in Cleveland. Today, El Campeon shared a backstage photo on social media alongside his stablemates, and surprisingly, CM Punk made a cameo appearance in the image.
"Special thanks to @CMPunk for being a surprise guest yesterday! Good times with great people. Now let's handle business tonight! #SummerSlam," he wrote.

CM Punk fired a shot at WWE Superstar Seth Rollins before SummerSlam
As mentioned previously, Seth Rollins would be the official referee for the massive showdown between Drew McIntyre and The Second City Saint.
The SummerSlam Kickoff Show in Cleveland saw The Visionary receive a thunderous ovation from the crowd as they sang along to his theme song. When the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion confronted CM Punk, the latter responded with a brutal insult.
"It’s all downhill after the song, brother." Punk said.
