CM Punk takes a massive shot at Seth Rollins ahead of WWE SummerSlam
Seth Rollins will be a key figure in CM Punk's massive showdown at WWE SummerSlam 2024, but not as a competitor. The Visionary was on the receiving end of a scathing insult from The Best in the World during The Biggest Party of the Summer's kickoff show.
Originally slated for this year's WrestleMania, a match between Punk and Rollins was on the cards. However, WWE's Chief Content Officer Triple H confirmed that The Second City Saint's triceps injury sustained at Royal Rumble 2024 forced a change of plans for the show in Philadelphia.
At the upcoming PLE in Cleveland, the 45-year-old star will lock horns with Drew McIntyre in their first-ever singles match. As announced by RAW General Manager Adam Pearce, Seth Rollins will serve as the special guest referee for the clash between The Scottish Warrior and CM Punk.
During the SummerSlam Kickoff show, the crowd erupted in a deafening chorus of The Visionary's theme song, as he got into The Second City Saint's face. Punk responded with a fierce strike, landing a massive blow on the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion:
"It’s all downhill after the song, brother." Punk said.

Female WWE champion opens up about CM Punk before SummerSlam
The current NXT Women's Champion, Roxanne Perez, recently shared her thoughts on The Straight Edge Superstar ahead of his match against Drew McIntyre.
In an interview with Gorilla Position, The Prodigy admitted that CM Punk can be irritating at times but still preferred him over The Scottish Warrior.
"Me and CM Punk, you know, he does help me a lot but, he does get on my nerves a little bit sometimes. So, I can see why Drew McIntyre can feel the way he's feeling (...) I can't really decide but I'll just say CM Punk because he's done quite a bit for me," said Perez.
