CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre rematch confirmed for Bash in Berlin with a surprising stipulation
CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre will be happening again—it is official. Bash in Berlin is the stage, but we also have an extra stipulation that not many people expected. McIntyre accepted the challenge as well.
This week on RAW, CM Punk opened his promo by talking about his gratitude to the fans. He cited the fans as the reason for WWE's current hot era. He was recently at the Fanatics Fest and praised the first fan in line to see him—a girl in a wheelchair who beat cancer. He even mentioned a fan who flew all the way from Jordan in the Middle East just to see him. He said all of this to contextualize why that fan-made bracelet was so important to him.
With that said, CM Punk revealed that he spoke to RAW General Manager Adam Pearce and got a rematch against Drew McIntyre at Bash in Berlin. Not only this, but it will be a strap match - meaning that one of the men has to touch all four corners to win.
This comes following the rumor that Punk and Drew McIntyre will headline Bad Blood 2024 in Georgia in a Hell in a Cell match.
If this rumor turns out to be true, then The Second City Saint will be the favorite to avenge his loss to Drew McIntyre from SummerSlam. Berlin could be where Punk gets his retribution at last.
During the interaction, Punk offered to give McIntyre the strap if he gave the bracelet - an offer that didn't materialize.
