Cody Rhodes breaks character to call top WWE heel "future champ"
Cody Rhodes is currently the top babyface in WWE. However, The American Nightmare recently broke character to call Dominik Mysterio a future champion.
Dirty Dom has been doing some of the best work of his career since turning heel and aligning with The Judgment Day. The former NXT North American Champion often gets the loudest negative reactions from the crowd, which is the dream for any villainous character.
Dominik's improvement in the ring and on the microphone has not gone unnoticed as he has received huge praise from fans and critics alike. Cody Rhodes also seems to be a big advocate of Mysterio's abilities as he recently called The Judgment Day member "future champ" while posting a picture on his Instagram Stories with Dirty Dom and Damian Priest.

Cody Rhodes called Dominik Mysterio a future WWE WrestleMania main eventer
Cody Rhodes has headlined two WrestleMania since returning to WWE in 2022. The American Nightmare ended Roman Reigns' historic title run at The Showcase of Immortals earlier this year, cementing himself as the face of the company.
Dominik Mysterio, meanwhile, faced his father Rey Mysterio in a losing effort at WrestleMania 39. At 'Mania XL Dirty Dom was involved in a tag team match where he and Santos Escobar suffered a loss to Rey and Andrade. However, Cody believes that huge things are in store for Dirty Dom, as he sees The Judgment Day star in the main event spot at WrestleMania 50.
"I know most people say negative, terrible things about Dom [Dominik Mysterio], you know, his current locker room. Dom is the guy, who I was at WrestleMania 40 like maybe it's WrestleMania 50: Who knows what it is? That's someone you're going to watch grow up in front of you and who's clearly delivering on the most important levels," Rhodes said.
Dominik Mysterio is currently involved in one of the hottest storylines in WWE with Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan. Many speculate the former NXT North American Champion will betray Mami at SummerSlam and help Morgan retain the Women's World Championship.
